The crested gecko or eyelash gecko (Correlophus ciliatus) comes from a small island near Australia called the Isle of Pines in the South Province of New Caledonia. It was first described by a French zoologist, Alphonse Guichenot, in 1866. However, the species was not seen again over the next century and was believed to be extinct. After a tropical storm took down the trees on the island, a German expedition of herpetologists found several specimens dislodged from the trees. Sample animals were legally taken during this expedition and exported for research and breeding. All captive crested geckos are descended from these original animals.
All of my crested geckos are fed Pangea Crested Gecko Complete Diet which includes powdered insects and other protein sources, as well as all the vitamins and minerals necessary for their wellbeing, breeding, and growth. I feed them all the flavors on a rotation.

Interestingly, we actually don’t know. Crested geckos have only been in captivity for 30 years. In the beginning of the hobby, the maximum life expectancy was thought to be 10 years. However, as crested gecko husbandry has advanced over the years, it has increased. Sources say that the average age is 15-20 years. Reportedly, there are some people who have crested geckos that are up to 30 years old.
Answer here.
While not much is known about the wild population currently, crested geckos were considered “Vulnerable” by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List in 2021.

Live animals are shipped overnight when weather conditions are safe to do so not only here, but also at the destination point and all major hubs in between. I use shipping companies, chosen at my discretion for quality of service and price, who can provide a live arrival and on time guarantee. Shipping to a nearby FedEx hub is preferred, as shipping direct to homes may nullify such guarantees. Shipping will only take place Monday - Wednesday for next day arrival on Tuesday - Thursday.
